OmieLife Lunch Box Review + Hot Lunch Ideas
Now that we are a few weeks into the new school year I can finally give our honest review on the OmieBox from OmieLife. I wanted to make sure that we had a good amount of time using it before really talking about it with you all. Now lets just say I am not new to the taking your own lunch game. As most of you that have been following me for a while know that my oldest has food allergies so he has always taken his own lunch to school. Not to mention that my oldest does not like cold lunches or sandwiches making it super hard to find things that worked for him. For years we have used a thermos and so my oldest has mastered in opening it and I have some what mastered what types of foods work for hot lunches in the thermos.
My littlest guy is now attending school this year and with that being said he is also going to be taking his own lunch as well. Just like his big brother he does not like cold lunches so when we were searching for lunch box ideas we came across the OmieBox from OmieLife. I immediately knew that this lunch box was going to work for him. Although we love the thermos style he could not open it himself. I loved that the thermos in the OmieBox has a handle making it super easy for little hands to turn open.
The OmieBox is an insulated Bento Box that holds Hot & Cold foods in one box making it a versatile lunch box. The handle on the thermos makes it super easy for little ones to open on their own. You can remove the thermos compartment for cold lunches vice versa. It comes with a removable divider that you can use to separate foods with. This lunch box has 3 leak proof compartments making it perfect for not having to uses additional containers for yogurts etc. Omi Box is BPA-free, phthalate free and complies with all FDA and CPSIA requirements.
Does the OmieBox thermos keep the food hot? Yes, I want to say it keeps it warm for about 4-5 hours. Like any thermos I will pour hot boiling water into it for about 5-10 mins to heat it up. I find that doing so it gives the best results in keeping it warm. We have not had any issues with it and absolutely love the lunch box so far. We have been using it for almost 3 weeks now. I love that my little guy doesn't have a bunch of containers to open during lunch time. Everything he needs is nicely packed and ready for him to enjoy during lunch time.
