Birthday Getaway at The Kartrite Resort

A few weeks ago we celebrated Jay's 10th Birthday. I remember when I first started this blog he had just turned 3 years old. I decided to really just enjoy the moment with him and the family that I didn't even post on social media about his birthday.  I did post a few things on my Instagram Stories but that's about it.  Now that it has been a few weeks I did want to share what we did for the BIG 10!!! For the last 3 years we stopped doing big parties with him and just cut a cake with immediate family and then we go away for a few days. This year we decided to take a road trip up to the Catskills in NY.  There had been so much talk about the newest indoor waterpark called the Kartrite Resort and so we wanted to check it out for ourselves. We booked 2 nights and spent his actual birthday at the resort.

The resort itself was so nice and modern. We absolutely loved the design and feel of the room. Our room had 2 sets of bunk beds and the boys loved it. They said they had their own room in the hotel and couldn't believe it. lol Now the room we got was an upgrade from what I booked but there was no extra charge as they gave us what was available upon check it. The room includes a mini fridge, microwave and a Keurig coffee machine and because we like to bring our own snacks and drinks to keep in the room this was perfect.

Besides the water park there was tons to do at the resort. There were daily activities that the hotel offered. When checking in you will get the daily list of activities with the times and fees if any.
The resort had such a nice arcade section full of games, a bowling alley, pool tables and more. There was rock climbing for just $7 and there was also the rope course and zip lining as well.
We also enjoyed making some s'mores by the fire pit and played some connect 4 on the giant games they have set up outside. There really is something for all ages and you will have tons of fun.

The resort had a couple of different restaurants and I will be honest that's where you will spend your money in my opinion. We tried the Eat Eat Eat buffet for breakfast one day and I thought it was a little over priced and not for us as we really don't indulge on food like that. Don't get me wrong they had a large selection of foods so there is something for everyone but I did find that I enjoyed breakfast more at the coffee shop and it was like $25 cheaper. So just something to think about if you do go. Our favorite spot for dinner was Harvey's Wallbanger. The food was amazing. We can not stop thinking about the wings and burgers from that restaurant. Its definitely worth it to eat there. And I can't forget about Pop's Sweet Shoppe. They had some yummy treats there. We had actually picked up a jumbo cupcake the night before Jay's birthday to surprise him in the morning and he loved it.

I have to say that the staff is amazing. They are super nice and friendly and I was actually really shocked on how great they were from beginning to end. Knowing that the staff is so pleasant makes your stay even that much better. The life guards were also amazing. They did not miss a beat. Very attentive and answered any questions or concerns you may have regarding the safety of your child.

Jaycob says its one of his best birthdays and is so grateful for all the adventures and experiences we give him. Both boys love the hotel life and this resort over exceeded their expectations. I think my kids should be hotel critics. lol We definitely recommend it.

Have you been to the Kartrite Resort & Water Park in Catskills, NY?

As always Thank You for reading and showing love!
