Dinosaur Fun at The Field Station

The Field Station is one of the places I have been wanting to take the kids to but just haven't had the chance to until this past weekend. I had purchased tickets on Groupon back in May and originally wanted to surprise Ayden on his Birthday with them but it was pouring rain. So I decided to just wait for the weekend that was nice with no plans and that was this past weekend. The boys were so excited and couldn't wait to learn and explore everything about Dinosaurs. Ayden's first reaction was that we have made it to Jurassic Park. I couldn't stop laughing when he said that because he was so serious and mentioned he wanted to see the Raptor's trainers. I was praying that he wouldn't be disappointed because seriously kid Raptor trainers are only in the movies.

Upon entering the park they gave the kids these little booklets where the kids had to get stamped in different locations to get their credentials to be a Super Paleontologist. Once we were ready to enter the gates slid open just as if we were in Jurassic Park. The kids thought it was super cool. The kids were now ready to start their adventure and boy was it a fun one. We used our map of the park and made sure to check the show times for each of the tents because that's where the kids would earn their stamps. We saw the dinosaurs which were not scary at all and learned about each one. The kids took a class in learning how to draw their very own dinosaurs and then made their way to dig up some fossils. We saw a live T-REX (lol) and also saw a cute glow in the dark show that we had to pay an additional charge.

Overall we had such a great afternoon at the Field Station. Both boys received all their stamps and enjoyed all the shows. If your in the NJ area and haven't been I would definitely recommend it. You can snag some tickets over on Groupon for just $10. You are also allowed to bring water and snacks or you can purchase in the park. The park is open rain or shine but I would suggest to wait for some sunshine so you can enjoy it all. Also it can get super hot so make share kids wear hats, sunglasses and sunscreen. We went about 1pm and there was not a lot of people so we were able to enjoy everything without it being crowded.

As always Thank You for stopping on by and for all your support.
