Spring Break Road Trip Ideas

This year for Spring Break we decided that we would go on a road trip to a destination that we have been trying to go for more then over a year. So I wanted to share with you some fun Road Trip ideas for the family that we either have already been to or planning on going to in the near future. You don't have to spend a fortune to travel and so that's why road trips are always a great option for those who are on a budget or last minute planners. When choosing a destination for our road trip we always have to make sure that there are plenty of kid friendly activities so that the whole family can enjoy. Check out all of our road trip picks down below!

We love visiting Philly. We have only done day trips here but would love to actually do an over night to enjoy a little more of what it has to offer. There are so many amazing things to see and do such as museums, festivals, restaurants etc. Here are some of the kids favorite places to visit in Philly:

Please Touch Museum
Philadelphia Zoo
The Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University
Franklin Square

There are so many things that you can see and do that I can't wait to plan another Philly outing with the family.

Hershey is one of our favorite places that we have visited. We did a weekend trip and feel like we didn't get to enjoy it all. When people think of Hershey Park they think of the theme park but there are so many more things to do and see. They have the Hershey Story Museum where you can experience becoming an Apprentice, the Chocolate Lab, Chocolate Tasting and more. We also loved Hershey Gardens as well. There really is so many things to see and do that you will have an amazing trip no matter. I mean who doesn't want to be surrounded by chocolate!!

Baltimore is definitely on our list to visit. I had been there on a school trip when I was in high school but would love to experience it as an adult with my own family. There are is plenty to see and do with the family. They have the Historic Ships & Maritime History, the National Aquarium, festivals, restaurants and so much more to explore.

Washington, DC

Washington, DC has been on our list to visit for more then over a year. Finding the right time to go has been challenging as something always comes up or a little to expensive to book at last min. There is so much to do and see in Washington and I can't wait to finally explore it with my family. I had been there on a school trip as well and loved it back then that now as an adult I know I will love it even more. All the museums are FREE admission. There is plenty of things for all ages in your group. The Air and Space Museum & The National Zoo are definitely two of the places that my kids would absolutely love along seeing the Lincoln Memorial, White House & Washington Monument. We can't wait to explore all that Washington has to offer.

I hope that this helps if your looking to do a road trip with your family for Spring Break or in the near future. You really can't go wrong with any of these places. Do you like taking Road Trips and if so where was your last Road Trip? And if your not doing any Road Trips here is an older post I did on Spring Break Ideas for day trips. Happy Spring Break!!
