Sunday Funday at Dorney Park

This past Sunday we were lucky enough to be invited to spend the day at Dorney Park & Wild Water Kingdom in Allentown, PA.  The park is about an hour and a half from where we live. The drive was rather smooth and no traffic what so ever. Now if you have never been to Dorney Park and your not so far from it you really should consider in going. You get two parks for the price of one. You can enjoy the water park in the morning and then head on over to the dry park. They don't just offer rides at the amusement park.
They have so many more things to do such as there Dinosaur exhibit, Magic Show, The Charlie Brown Show with a Meet and Greet and so much more. There really is something for everyone of all ages.

When we arrived we first headed over to the water section where the kids enjoyed their time at the Kids Water Works. They loved being able to spray each other and others around them with the water guns and buckets of water. We also all enjoyed the lazy river as well.
Once we were done with the water side of the park we changed into dry clothes and headed to the dry side of the park. As we were walking along the way we did spot some dinosaurs. Although we didn't do the Dinosaur Alive exhibit we were able to see some through out the park. I think we visited enough dinosaurs this year that we didn't really need to visit this one.

We went straight to Planet Snoopy which is geared toward the younger kids. Both my boys had a blast. They really enjoyed the rides that they had and that they both could enjoy together. What I liked about it most was that parents were also able to go on most of the rides with their smaller children who could not ride alone. This made it so much more fun for us as we were able to enjoy the rides with our kids. The lines were not long at all and I think because there are so many things to see and do at the park that it definitely helps with the lines.

The boys also really enjoyed the show Charlie Brown's Jungle Journey. Although Snoppy was not in the show and we didn't get to catch him at the meet and greet the boys were still happy to meet Charlie Brown and his friends.

The boys were so surprise to see this Haunt Monster Truck at Dorney Park. My boys are all about Monster Jam Trucks and so this was another exciting highlight for them. They have never seen one up close and personal. They were super happy to take this picture and to see the actual size of the Monster Truck.

All in all it was a super fun and long day for us. We will definitely be visiting again. If you have yet to go to Dorney Park then you need to make it a point to go. You will not be disappointed. Definitely check out their website for all details on the park. I was able to find you guys a coupon on Groupon where you can save 40% off of the original ticket price. (Although we were gifted tickets to Dorney Park all opinions are my own)
